Northeast of Křemže rises Kluk hill, crowned by a massive rock. It has always seemed rather mysterious, so it is unsurprising that several old legends attach to it.

One says the region's guardian spirit hides deep inside. But it is neither a mighty knight nor a terrifying supernatural being. It supposedly looks like a little boy, a kluk, from whom folklore derives the hill's name.

The tale says this mysterious protector once appeared to the knight Smil, lord of Křemže. The boy explained that he merely sleeps inside, waiting until his help is truly needed. While peace reigns, he stays hidden and people remain unaware of him.

Danger may one day come. Then Kluk's spirit will awaken and emerge to help his region. The motif recalls the famous Blaník knights, also waiting inside a mountain for the hour of greatest need.

But the hill hides more than its small guardian. A White Lady supposedly appears on the slopes and around the summit. The pale woman emerges among trees or rocks, disappearing as silently as she came.

The legend does not explain who she is or why Kluk is among her haunts. Her presence reinforces the old feeling that this was more than an ordinary hill for the surrounding villagers.

In local legends Kluk is a place where the region's protector sleeps beneath the rocks and the White Lady's ghost still walks the slopes.
