North of the town, a rocky formation known as Skalka (Felsl) lies on a peat bog. According to a local legend, it is the ruin of a castle whose depths conceal a great treasure of gold and silver coins, precious stones and pearls. The treasure opens at Easter during the reading of the Passion, twice in thirty years, and only then can it be taken.
