Two hills above the picturesque Zdíkov valley are called Dědek and Bába, the Old Man and the Old Woman. They are supposedly the petrified remains of people. The woman was cursed for bringing the mowers their snack late. She turned to stone and gradually sank into the ground. Only her stone head now protrudes; when it disappears completely, the world will end. The old man is a petrified charcoal burner who made charcoal in a kiln below the hill.
