A Golden Place to Sit

A White Lady used to appear on the walls here. She was seen at midnight and at noon, and supposedly attacked anyone who crossed her path. She guards a hidden treasure that includes a gold table with twelve gold chairs. She is the apparition of the lady of the château, torn in two here by two criminal Augustinian monks. Other versions place this event at the so-called Lady Lída's Spring near the monastery of Svatá Dobrotivá. It is also said that an enchanted weeping maiden, holding a child's little coffin, guards the treasure. She appears only at certain times and to certain people. A Black Lady also appeared here. Legends of possible release are associated with both ghosts. Only a red-haired priest from the monastery of Svatá Dobrotivá could release the White Lady.
