South of Bouzov, a small castle called Brány or Špránek, after its founder Spran, is said to have once stood on a high rock. Its owner signed himself over to the Devil, and when the time came to repay the debt, the entire castle turned to stone. It is a karst formation resembling a gateway, now designated a nature reserve together with its surroundings. Twelve black horses sometimes circle the place at night, guarding the robber knight's hidden treasures. A terrifying black dog carrying human limbs in its jaws also appears here. (See Bouzov.)
