Rychleby- Hrad · STORY FROM THE ATLAS

A treasure guarded by a snake

Another legend says that the Green Knight amassed great wealth, still hidden in the castle ruins. It can be recovered only on Palm Sunday while the Passion is being read in the church at Javorník. A huge green snake holding a golden key in its mouth guards it. The snake will yield the treasure only to someone who, without a sound, allows it to coil around their body and place the golden key in their mouth.
