South of the town, on the slope of Libín Mountain, rises a high rock into which the sign IHS, Jesus Homini Salvator, was carved. It was also called Jesus’s Rock. Treasures are supposedly hidden within. Legend says a young man was ploughing nearby during Easter week. Before the rock he reached into a hollow tree and drew out an old key. When he touched the rock with it, the stone opened to reveal a long passage inside. There lay a treasure guarded by three sleeping old men. The young man gathered some gold and left. But the treasure supposedly brought him no happiness: he died within a year.
