Left of the Baroque pilgrimage Church of the Virgin Mary, by K. I. Dientzenhofer, near the road to Plánice, stands a chapel with a spring. Its water was credited with miraculous power through the intercession of Our Lady of Nicov. Pilgrims’ many pleas for healing and words of thanks written on the chapel walls testify to this. A legend that the Virgin appeared in the spring prompted the building of the pilgrimage church. Many pilgrimages came here. The water was found to be radioactive, but the spring is weak.
