According to an old legend, the ghost of a beautiful White Lady once appeared at Bradlec Castle and nearby Kumburk. People say that a local witch enchanted the young wife of the castle’s lord, originally from Kumburk, into this form. The White Lady often appeared to people and helped them. Many saw her, but as soon as they moved or spoke, the apparition vanished. On her deathbed, the witch confessed her dreadful deed, and the White Lady was finally freed from the spell. See Kumburk.
