The rock formation called Zakletý zámek, the Enchanted Château, southeast of Bouzov, was once a real château. Its noble household died out, leaving only an old woman with a cat and a dog. Lonely, she cursed the château to turn to stone for ever. Her likeness can reportedly still be seen through a window in the rock. Since then, devils and other demons driven out of the so-called Svěcená díra, the Blessed Hole, by holy water have revelled there. A black dog with fiery eyes also appears, howling dreadfully. The devils here take the form of horses and crayfish. See Špránek.
