Long passages run beneath the castle; one allegedly leads to Hostýn, another to Štípa church. Every five metres are niches in which much gold and silver is walled up, guarded by an old devil with four eyes. A golden duck supposedly also lives underground, laying three gold ducats every night. It hisses at anyone trying to take them. Evil spirits daze the intruder, who finds himself in a deep lake beneath the castle where the Knights Templar once bathed.
