A treasure is allegedly buried beneath Chocholka hill towards the town. In the previous century, a man from Starý Bydžov dug here unsuccessfully for about twenty years, claiming to have learned of the treasure from a book of magic. He obtained the landowner’s permission and gradually dug through the slope behind the sawmill, but never found the treasure.
