A wealthy convent once stood on the nearby hill. Fearing robbers, the nuns buried its precious treasures. The convent was later razed to the ground, and the treasures are said to remain here to this day. But the site is overgrown with forest, and until recently nobody knew its exact location. The convent’s remains were excavated only in the 1950s.
