The old castle tower, hollow at its base, supposedly imprisons the spirit of a man named Kašťák of Boryně, who shot himself in the cellar below. Groans and lamentations are heard every night. At midnight a white figure with a flame also wanders the gallery. It is said to be a foolish itinerant miller who wagered he could bring a human bone from the castle at night. He was searched for in vain the next morning, and his ghost has appeared ever since.
