Local tradition names two nearby places where treasures are supposedly buried. One is Nový háj hill between Javorník and the scattered Slovak hillside settlements. The treasure is placed either by the ‘ramparts’ surviving from 17th-century border fortifications or beside a rock conspicuously marked with a carved sign. Folk imagination saw a horseshoe and a goose's footprint in it; it may originally have been the arms of the old owners, the lords of Kravaře, an arrow wrapped in cloth. The second location is Hradisko hill (636 m), two kilometres to the south, with prehistoric hillfort remains. Both are said to conceal outlaws' treasures.
