Above Janské Lázně towards Maršov rises a large rock called Harfa, the Harp. An old legend says it opens each Easter and a White Lady emerges, playing the harp and singing to lure someone brave enough to release her. A fabulous treasure is also hidden inside and will belong to her rescuer. In one version she was a heartless woman who owned a large farm in Maršov. When a beggar asked for alms, he was driven away by dogs. The earth then opened and swallowed her. Another version says her castle stood here and a knight living opposite sought her hand. Rejected, he pledged himself to the devil and cursed the woman and castle. At least, this is how J. V. Grohmann tells it in his Czech Legends.
