Near Bezno lies a place called Na propasti, “At the Abyss”. A carriage once sank into the ground here with a godless lord who had prevented his coachman from praying. A similar legend about Princess Drahomíra sinking into the earth is told in Prague’s Hradčany district. Interestingly, this estate is said to have belonged to her henchman Štyrsa, one of the murderers of St Wenceslas. Some versions identify him directly with the sunken lord. A duck thrown into this abyss is said to emerge through a spring either near Kropáčova Vrutice or near Nemyslovice. See Krnsko.
