Hradišťany - Vrch · STORY FROM THE ATLAS

The spring of misfortune

An ominous well of black, boiling water once lay at the foot of the hill. Nothing grew nearby, and every creature that fell into it immediately died. According to legend, St Procopius lived here as a hermit and managed to cover the spring with consecrated wood. A rumbling then rose from deep within the earth and the well filled itself in.
