South of the village, in Skalice hill (564 m) beneath the mighty Krupkova Rock, a treasure is supposedly hidden. People say that foreign soldiers once tortured a fleeing merchant to death here. Before dying he managed to hide his treasure, but uttered a curse protecting it. Every year “at Midnight Mass”, a powerful glow reveals its location. Treasures are also supposedly kept at Plchov between Držkov and Zásada and at Potůčky between Plavy and Držkov, their sites indicated by will-o’-the-wisps on dark nights.
