A treasure of gold is supposedly hidden beneath the castle, guarded by a large black dog. Legend says that a woman from Pavlov saw it while cutting grass below Děvičky. She spread out a cloth and used her sickle to gather gold onto it. But the dog bit her and her hand immediately turned black. Noon was ringing. The dog and gold disappeared into the earth, except for what lay on the cloth. The woman’s arm was paralysed from then on.
