South of Vysoká Lípa rises Růžový vrch (610 m), a regional landmark. A healing spring supposedly once flowed at its foot. A greedy local nobleman wanted to charge for using it, and it dried up. He then built a chapel of the Virgin Mary on the hill and endowed it with precious objects. During an earthquake, however, they sank with the chapel into the mountain. The treasure remains there, adds J.V.Grohmann in his Bohemian Legends.
