Above the village rises the conical Durana hill (621 m), supposedly named after Durancie, Princess of Olomouc. An important wooden castle once stood here, but no trace remains. Only the hillfort with its circular rampart survives, and the site is still called Pustý zámek, the Deserted Castle. According to legend, a great treasure belonging to the local župan was buried here to hide it from the Tatars. In nearby Pekelská Ravine, the castle bell can be heard every day at noon, and on St John's Eve the ghost of the župan appears on a headless horse. On Good Friday, little flames leap from the place where the treasure is buried.
