A stone column once stood here in memory of soldiers punished despite their innocence. A treasury chest had gone missing, stolen from them by the local magistrate Zdanovec. Their officer made the blindfolded soldiers jump over a lime kiln until they had all fallen in. Zdanovec's black spirit later appeared here, devouring live pigs. The apparition supposedly vanished only after the farm was consecrated.
