Tanvald · STORY FROM THE ATLAS

A Giant in Špičák

Northwest of Tanvald rises the mighty Špičák hill (831 m), with an observation tower. Virgil Grohmann, a classic collector of our legends from the previous century, states that a giant lives here. His home is inside the mountain itself, where he guards an immense treasure. Sometimes he even carries it into daylight to count it and delight in it. More often, however, he appears at night.
