Of the mighty castle that once stood here, only the massive Trúba tower remains, visible from afar. According to some legends, the Knights Templar had a seat here in the twelfth century. Dwarfs are said to have determined the castle's location. They lived on Kotouč hill, where the castle was originally to be built. They would not allow construction there, however, and at night demolished what had been built during the day. Only when a site that did not trouble the dwarfs was chosen could the building be completed.
