A treasure is said to be buried beneath the scant remains of this long-demolished castle. It is an enormous barrel of good Moravian wine, which will quench the thirst of St Wenceslas's army from Blaník when it pauses at the ancient little church in Mrákotín on its march against the enemy. The barrel will roll out of the cellars by itself and tumble all the way to the church. (See Mrákotín.)
