The Devil’s Head and Hoofprints

A cross stood beside the stone road leading to Starý Jičín Castle. Nearby are two hollows in the rocky road, said to be impressions of the Devil’s head and hoof. He left them while fleeing the castle after courting the lord’s daughter. He had been recognised and had to disappear. On seeing the cross, he fell from his horse and left his marks here.
