On elongated Hlavačov Hill near Rakovník, about a kilometre below its summit, once stood an old castle, of which barely visible ramparts and ditches remain. It was known as Starý Hrádek, Castellum vetus, the Old Castle. Treasures supposedly lie in its filled-in underground cellars. There was also a pool covered by a great granite stone, from which a pair of lovers allegedly retrieved part of the treasure.
