Southeast of Staré Splavy, the picturesque Selská Ravine winds between sandstone rocks, narrows into the Black Ravine and ends at the so-called Brandenburg Cave. It was once called the Devil’s Ravine. A local version tells of a cobbler wrestling the Devil. The cobbler made him shoes, but the Devil refused to pay. They fought so long that they rolled out this ravine. After a week, the Devil supposedly escaped to Hell, shoes and all.
