Březolupy · STORY FROM THE ATLAS

The Devil’s Footprints at the Château

At Březolupy Château, a black footprint occasionally appears on one of the steps, with the print of a black palm on the wall beside it. It is supposedly a trace of the devil, who carried away the cruel lord of the château from here. The signs continued to appear as a warning to the authorities not to torment the people. The place was also haunted from then on. Only after a chapel was established in the northern wing did the apparitions cease, though the marks of the devil’s hoof and palm continued to appear.
