During High Mass, a procession of nuns’ ghosts from Příběnice convent used to appear. Wailing loudly, they descended in a line from the cliff into the river, then walked on its surface as if on firm ground. They were supposedly the ghosts of unfortunate nuns who, during the Taborites’ capture of Příběnice in 1420, threw themselves from the cliff into the Lužnice and found their “last bath.”
