In Dolní Brtnice, above Horní Pond, rises a gentle hill called Královna, “The Queen”, made up of several rounded mounds. A minor noble’s fortified manor supposedly once stood here and was later destroyed. Treasures are said to be hidden in its buried cellars. Another version places a convent here, linked by a secret passage to a chapel on the site of today’s church. Many unsuccessful excavations were later made at the spot.
