The Gothic Church of St James has been rebuilt several times. It stands on a high cliff above the Chrudimka, and people say that construction originally began in Svídnice. Whatever people built by day was carried by a white horse to Práčov at night. They tried to drive it away, but as soon as eleven o’clock came everyone fell asleep. When this kept happening, they had no choice but to build at the mysteriously appointed site.
