Near Modlíkov, now part of Petříkovice, is a huge boulder bearing what looks like a carved devil. Farther on lies another with large holes in its sides, called the Devil. The stones allegedly remain from a devil’s wager with a miller’s wife to bring a stone from Nazareth before cockcrow. A hidden rooster crowed and he lost. He threw the stone; the holes are his claw marks. After the exhausting flight he lay on the other boulder, leaving his shape imprinted.
