On Hrnčíř hill, an old hillfort between Petrovice and Jiřičná, a vast gold treasure is guarded by a black dog with fiery eyes. It allegedly moves deeper and farther west each year. At Jiřičná château two proud young ladies had shoes baked from dough. When they wore them to a ball, lightning struck the château and turned them into ducks, still occasionally appearing. Their treasures vanished underground. Descendants long kept the custom of handing down keys to the mysterious treasure, without ever finding the doors they fitted.
