East of the small town rises the so-called Coachman’s Rock, Vozkova skála. Legend says that the wicked lord of Branná Château, formerly Kolštejn after the vanished Goldenstein Castle, turned to stone here. Instead of bread, he had stones brought down from the mountains to the starving local people. They tied him up and sent him with his load towards the Silesian border, where he was petrified. Another version says that a coachman turned to stone here after following the devil’s advice and paving his way out of a bog with his load of freshly baked loaves. See Ramzová.
