Beside the field track from Nové Strašecí to Ruda, beneath Šibeňák hill, a notable stone lies on the left. Made of Žehrovice sandstone, it is about 190 cm high and half buried. Crosses are carved into it; it may once have been a waymarker. Local legend says treasure is buried beneath it and violet light is seen here on stormy nights. It is also said to move the width of a pinhead towards the road each year. When it reaches the middle, or in another version the far edge, the world will supposedly end.
