The Petrified Herd and the Living Bull

Between Myslín village and the Jewish cemetery, a wide pasture once held many granite stones called the Petrified Herd. Legend says a herdsman and his sheep and cows turned to stone here when he cursed the sun. People once avoided the place. It was also believed that at midnight the petrified bull came to life and ran around the now-vanished Zipelský Pond. The stones were gradually carted away for local building works, leaving almost nothing of the Petrified Herd.
