Behind Mladějov’s last houses rises a massive mountain formerly called Hausberg. A castle whose name is now unknown allegedly once stood there. Legend says a great treasure of gold and precious stones still lies underground. The mountain is said to open when the priest reads the Passion in the church at nearby Rychnov at Easter. Only then could the treasure be recovered.
