According to legend, a Templar castle once stood here. One Templar abducted the daughter of the lord of nearby Kamýk and tortured her in the cellar of the Žernoseky castle. After a long search, the lord of Kamýk found his daughter in the Templar stronghold, but she was already dead. He therefore burned down and demolished the castle, leaving nothing of it.
