An enormous vertical rock near the village is seventy metres long and fifteen metres high. It descends on the right from Zámčiska hill to the Senice, beside the road from Vsetín to Valašské Klobouky. The area is also called Lomnisko. It is the legacy of a devil who wagered that he could build a bridge overnight and reverse the Senice’s flow uphill through Lidečko. A rooster’s crow caught him out, and the impression of the devil’s back can be seen where he threw the stone down. A château is said once to have stood above Zámčisko, with an underground passage to nearby Račné, where Lidečko’s bells are allegedly buried. Treasures are also said to lie in deep cellars here. At the foot of Zámčisko beside the Senice is the Golden Spring, around which golden ducks supposedly flew, each carrying a golden twig in its beak. A sorcerer was also seen near the Devil’s Rock, leading poor people into the castle cellars and giving them treasures.
