Ledeč Nad Sázavou · STORY FROM THE ATLAS

The Devil’s Holes above the Želivka

Five kilometres southwest of Ledeč, several cave passages in a limestone cliff on the right bank of the Želivka are known as the Devil’s Holes. The ceilings of some caves have collapsed, and the walls sound hollow when tapped, suggesting that the cavities extend further. Nearby is a place called Pekelsko.
