Lanžhot · STORY FROM THE ATLAS

The Hutterite Treasure

Tradition says a Hutterite treasure is hidden in Lanžhot. According to folk accounts, the entrance to its cellar lies in house no. 121. Anyone seeking it must, during Christmas midnight Mass, dig out the blocked doorway, run through the passage and scoop some of the burning treasure into their footcloths. They must not speak while doing so.
