The combined Russian-Austrian armies' headquarters during Austerlitz once stood on the site of today's farm buildings. Local tradition, supported by a single witness, Russian soldier Josef Andrejevský, places their war treasury underground here: six barrels of gold coins and six of silver. The witness himself had the ground dug after the battle without success. Two possible sites are suggested. One is near the place unsuccessfully searched by Austrian authorities in 1829 on his information, between Slavkov, Křenovice and Vážany, in a depression ten paces from the stream towards Slavkov. The other lies east of Vážany near a second but better retreat route. Kobeřice and Vícemilice also preserve these tales. (See those entries.)
