Krty · STORY FROM THE ATLAS

The Dwarfs' Hole, Zwergeloch

A famous little cave once lay here, entered by crawling on one's belly. It was later destroyed, though similar refuges remain nearby. They supposedly housed dwarfs long ago. Local legend says the bells of the new St Adalbert's church, originally early-Baroque and dated 1682, drove them out. They moved to the Krkonoše, and a young man who helped them later found treasure here.
