On the southern slope of Králický Sněžník (1424 m), the Morava rises from limestone cavities called Tvarožné jámy, Curd Pits, after white moonmilk deposits resembling curd. According to legend fabulous treasures lie inside. Tales describe foreigners who could reach them, reflecting a historical reality: medieval prospectors in the Czech mountains were often Italians, and many places tell similar legends of them.
