Fexts in the cemetery

In the small cemetery of Kostelec nad Labem, founded on a sandy hill, fexts were once found: people whose bodies did not decay and who had other remarkable attributes. See the Fext entry in the first section. The first four were supposedly kept in a cellar beneath the mortuary, accessible only through a trapdoor and by rope ladder. One was exceptionally tall, prompting the suggestion that they were soldiers from the French wars.
