East of town, on a hill, stood the manor of the Kokorští of Kokory. Only faint rampart traces survive. At noon two black ghost dogs chase a black chicken here. A capricious maiden once set her suitors a task: whoever threw a stone over the tower would marry her. They threw simultaneously from opposite sides. Both succeeded, but their falling stones killed each other. The maiden laughed at the dead men. As punishment she appears after death as a black chicken, endlessly pursued by her former suitors as black dogs.
