Kněžice · STORY FROM THE ATLAS

A treasure from Hussite times

A fortified manor once stood where the rectory is now. A treasure was supposedly placed in the long-drained Podtvrzník pond. The knight Kněžický hid it there in 1423 when Jan Žižka's Taborites marched to capture the stronghold at Velké Kozojedy. It was never found.
