A fortified manor once stood in Chvojenec. Its ramparts and part of the ditch survive. The site lies on the left of the Chvojenec–Rokytno road, opposite the roadside restaurant, at a place called Na baště. Local legends place a treasure in the manor. A little blue flame burned above it at night. To obtain it one had to throw breadcrumbs or a rosary over the flame, neither look back nor speak. Another local version tells of a shepherd boy whose shoe fell into the cellar, helping reveal the treasure.
